“ Really nice Vietnamese vegetarian lunch buffet attached to the monastery. The people running it are lovely and the food is very tasty. I got multiple plates and by the time I finished my first plate, they had a few new things to try on my second round. The staff recommended coming back during non-buffet hours as well for their regular menu. ”
“ This place deserves so many more customers!! I just came across Happy Lotus on Google maps while looking for something relatively vegetarian friendly in the area, and this fit our taste perfectly. I didn’t even know this beforehand, but they are doing a 10% discount for the grand opening (I didn’t see the sign as I came up from the side ramp not the front stairs). The waiter/manager was so kind to tell us how to eat the Vietnamese pancake since we’ve never had it before in this style. He also told us this place is run by two shifus from the monastery next door, one of whom made sure we had enough sauce for the delicious pancake. Just be aware, they only accept debit/cash at this time, and the buffet is only on Saturday and Sunday. ”
“ The setting is calm and serene with a vantage point of the bow river if you are sat by the windows. This newly opened restaurant offers Vietnamese classics in a vegetarian style. The noodles (veggie duck) were good and so was the com tom (bbq with rice). Staff is accommodating and very friendly. You can park in the back. It’s part of the Avatamsaka Monastery building and the entrance is on the right side. ”
“ Been waiting for the restaurant to reopen again. It has a different name now. Loved my lunch (see pic). So delicious, clean and healthy tasting. Will definitely return to try the other menu items. Thank you for a satisfying meal! ”
“ Great Vietnamese vegetarian. Right beside Avatamsaka Buddhist Temple. Average price around 16.50 for noodle soup. ”
“ Wonderful dining experience in Ambrosia, I love the buffet here, very authentic Chinese/Taiwanese food and super flavourful yet healthy, I love the blueberry ginseng tea and roselle tea the most. They have free parking at the rear! Surprisingly it runs by volunteers, highly recommended for vegan and non-vegan to try!!! ”
“ We love this place! We’re really glad that we’ve found this place via Google review and came at a quieter time. My kids said their fried rice is the best they’ve ever had. The dishes here are all garlic, onion and MSG free. Can’t wait to try the buffet one day. ”
“ Beautifully fresh and flavorful. Enjoyed every dish we tried - salad rolls, pancake, and spicy sate soup. Outstanding service too. Coming back soon. ”
